Blending well with the surrounding environment is always an interesting architectural challenge but the Mimetc house by Dominic Stevens in Dromahair Ireland dose an amazing job through some brilliant simplicity. Downward angles highly reflective one way glass masks the building with it’s surroundings, while providing a light gallery like interior to display the Irish marshlands.

more at urbarama, as usual found the impeccable KN.

Update: This is also well worth a mention by SeARCH (love their sites approach to two languages).

Finally Found my dream home, and a few others over on dornob. I imagen it being surrounded by amazing trails and maybe even a fishing pond nearby. There is a brilliant little collection of tree houses, small and large to be found here

I’m  very pleased to announce the launch of Ecotectures new blog. Ecotecture are a Sussex based architecture firm with a great knack for all things environmental, small or large. Speaking with the director Jake it was inspiring to find such passion for their work, and it was a pleasure to help them out with the integration of a WordPress blog in to their site.

They have been happily blogging away with some great posts already, check it out at http://www.ecotecture.co.uk/blog
